TWO years after taking an indefinite break from acting, Sandra Bullock is ready to put herself out there again in more ways than one.

Sandra has largely kept out of the public eye following her longtime partner’s death from ALS in August 2023 but is gradually making her way back to the entertainment industry – and the dating scene.

Sandra Bullock was last spotted running errands on July 12, just a few weeks before celebrating a milestone birthday.

Dressed casually in an all-white ensemble, Sandra even flashed a smile at paparazzi as she left a dermatologist’s office in Beverly Hills.

“Sandra’s gradually reemerging into public life,” a source told Us Weekly.

“She’s excited about what the future holds. She’s ready to get back in the game.”

The star, who turned 60 on July 26, has reportedly spent time reflecting on her accomplishments.

From her breakthrough role in the 1994 action thriller Speed to leading roles in Miss Congeniality, The Blind Side, and The Proposal, Sandra has appeared in over 50 films.

She received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2005, ranked second on Forbes’ 2014 list of the most powerful actresses, and was named one of the most influential people in the world by Time 100.

It was shocking, then, for Sandra’s fans to hear she would be stepping away from the limelight two years ago.

    TWO WEEKS NOTICE

In March 2022, the star announced she would be taking a break from the entertainment industry following the release of her latest romantic comedy film, The Lost City.

Iconic 90s movie featuring Sandra Bullock could return for sequel- but fans rage ‘no one asked for this’

“I can be creative, I can be part of a community, but right now, work in front of the camera needs to take a pause,” she told CBS News.

When asked how long her Hollywood hiatus would be, Sandra responded, “I don’t know.”

    “I don’t know…until I don’t feel like I feel now when I’m in front of a camera,” she added.

Since then, Sandra’s only acting role has been a brief but memorable cameo appearance in the 2022 action comedy Bullet Train, alongside her Lost City co-star Brad Pitt.

Along with spending more time at home with her children – son Louis and daughter Layla – she also focused her energy on her partner of eight years, photographer Bryan Randall, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2020.

Sandra, who once called Bryan the “love of my life” during a 2021 episode of Red Table Talk, supported her late beau as he privately dealt with the terminal disease.

There is no known cure for ALS, a fatal motor neuron disease that causes nerve cells in the spinal cord and brain to progressively degenerate.

On August 6, 2023, Bryan died after a three-year battle with the disease.

In a statement shared with People, his family said Bryan “chose early to keep his journey with ALS private,” adding that “those of us who cared for him did our best to honor his request.”

Losing Bryan “has been one of the hardest experiences Sandra’s gone through,” the source revealed.

Another source told Us Weekly that Sandra leaned on loved ones for support following Bryan’s death.

“Everyone from family to close Hollywood friends stepped up to help her in any way they could, and she’s forever grateful for that,” the second source revealed.

    WELCOME (BACK) TO HOLLYWOOD

After spending time grieving her late partner and shifting her focus primarily on raising her kids, Sandra is ready to return to work, according to Us.

“Sandra missed acting,” the first source shared, adding that she “values working with longtime friends in the industry.”

In May, Sandra appeared on 50 MPH, a podcast centered on her 1994 blockbuster, Speed.

She revealed she would love to reunite with her former co-star, Keanu Reeves again.

“Before I die, before I leave this planet, I do think that Keanu and I need to do something in front of the camera,” Sandra said.

Keanu, who also appeared on the podcast, confirmed he would “love” to work with Sandra again.

“I would love to work with you again before our eyes close. We’d freakin’ knock it out of the park,” he said.

While there’s no word yet on a potential Speed 3, Sandra is teaming up with another famous face in an upcoming movie.

    NEW LIFE FOR CULT CLASSIC

She’s set to star alongside Nicole Kidman in a sequel to their 1998 romantic fantasy film, Practical Magic.

Despite the original film’s mixed reviews and lukewarm box office earnings, it has since become a cult favorite.

“Sandra’s really excited about Practical Magic 2,” a third source shared with Us Weekly.

“Nicole is someone she adores, and she can’t wait to spend more time with her.”

And if balancing her family life with her return to the screen wasn’t enough, Sandra is still “healing slowly, keeping Bryan’s memory alive and focusing on her children,” according to the first source.

However, she’s also keeping her options open – and is “open to the possibility” of dating again in the future.
